David Fontaine
Partner & CEO, Asurity
David Fontaine is a Partner at Temerity Capital Partners, where he works to oversee the operations of Temerity’s various portfolio companies and related investments. Currently, David works closely with the management of Asurity to improve operations and to evaluate strategic options. Prior to joining Temerity, David served as the CEO of Corporate Risk Holdings (CRH) and its subsidiaries (Kroll + HireRight), developing and successfully executing a corporate growth strategy that resulted in the sale of each of CRH’s operating companies. David graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, Conn., and earned his J.D. from the Yale Law School.

Randy Kurtz
Senior Advisor
Randy Kurtz is a trusted advisor to the Temerity team on key matters involving investments, finance, governance, M&A and organizational structure. His background includes investment banking beginning at Goldman Sachs and accelerating at Citigroup as global head of an industry group. Following his Wall Street career, he has served multiple enterprises as Lead Director and Chairman, including a multi-generational family office, industrial and financial services companies, and a private REIT. Randy is recognized as a 2026 Top 100 Private Company Director. He has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Michael Sandler
Advisor
Michael Sandler is a Partner at Temerity Capital Partners, leading day-to-day operations and investing, focusing on early-stage Fintech and Regtech Venture Capital opportunities. Michael has overseen 50+ transactions on behalf of Temerity and its operating companies. He advises Asurity Technologies on corporate development and serves on the boards of Digital Pay, Covered Insurance, and Temerity Baseball. Michael holds a B.S.M. in Finance from Tulane University, an M.B.A. from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas, and a J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.

Alicia Amling
Chief of Staff
Alicia Amling is the Chief of Staff at Temerity Capital Partners, managing the highest priority initiatives of Temerity and its founder, Andy Sandler. As a member of Temerity Baseball’s Board of Directors, she leads community relations and manages key partnerships. She represented the team during the design and construction of Atrium Health Ballpark, recognized as Ballpark Digest’s “Ballpark of the Year” in 2022, and spearheaded the creation of the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers’ award-winning brand identity. Alicia is also Executive Director of the Sandler Family Foundation. She holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University.

Paul Weller
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Weller is the Chief Financial Officer at Temerity Capital Partners, where he manages the financial responsibilities of Temerity and its CEO. Paul worked as the Assistant Controller of H.I.G. Capital’s Leveraged Buyout & Venture Capital accounting team, overseeing financial reporting for over 30 legal entities. Previously, Paul was an auditor with Marcum, LLP in New York City. He holds a Master of Accounting and B.S.M. in Finance from Tulane University and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.

A. Michael Miller
General Counsel
Mike Miller is the General Counsel of Temerity Capital Partners, handling all legal, compliance, and regulatory matters with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and technology transactions. Prior to joining Temerity, Mike served as Deputy General Counsel of Corporate Risk Holdings, LLC, operating as chief lawyer for Kroll’s transactional due diligence business. He is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M in Securities and Financial Regulation), Widener University School of Law (J.D.), and the University of Maryland (B.A.).

Jake Sandler
MD, Impact Fund
Jake Sandler is a Principal at Temerity Capital Partners and Managing Director of the Temerity Impact Fund, leading investments in pre-seed and seed startups in the social impact space. Together with his wife, Jake also leads Found & Co, an early-stage venture studio. Previously, Jake founded ChangeRoots and helped build Asurity Technologies. Jake holds a B.A. in Political Economy and Spanish from Tulane University and serves as a board member on FairVote.

Yonnas Terefe
Advisor, Corporate Development
Yonnas supports Temerity Capital Partners with all matters related to Corporate Development, including sourcing investment opportunities, transaction execution, and investment process management. Most recently, Yonnas co-founded Zemed Group, an angel investing syndicate. Prior to that, he worked as an associate in the Consumer Retail Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley and spent over 5 years in asset management, including as an equity analyst at Calvert Investments, a globally recognized leader in ESG investing. Yonnas received his M.B.A from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester and his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Jennifer Erickson
Executive Assistant & Office Administrator
Jennifer Erickson is the Executive Assistant and Office Administrator at Temerity Capital Partners, supporting the General Counsel and executive team across legal, operational, and project-based functions. Prior to joining Temerity, Jennifer spent nearly two decades helping establish and operate Gingles, LLC, managing the full scope of firm operations. She holds a B.A. in English Language & Literature, cum laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park. Outside of work, Jennifer is an avid reader, rare book collector, and is fluent in German.
